Since Christmas is only a few days away, I wanted to give you an easy recipe that you can use to have your house smell like Christmas. If you are hosting guests at your home for the holidays, you have probably need to run to the grocery store, about 10 times. Or is that just me?? The ingredients to this wonderful smelling Christmas potpourri can all be found at your local grocery store.
I found this recipe on Pinterest when I was prepping for my own Christmas party at our house. I didn’t have the time to run to an extra store and buy wonderful smelling candles, like I had done in the past. So I decided that I would find something that I could easily pick up at the grocery store, since I was already making that trip. Kill 2 birds with 1 stone, kind of thing. When you are a mom of four, extra errands become a time hassle and you need to maximize your time while you are out, juggling 2 babies 2 and under.
This recipe explains how to add ingredients to a smaller crockpot, which I don’t have. But, the author also explains how to put together this potpourri in a pot with water, which I definitely have. Let me tell you, this Christmas potpourri smells like a little slice of Christmas heaven!!!! It is that good!!! As a hostess, or a busy woman on the go during the holidays, the last thing you want to worry about is how your house smells. You want your house to smell inviting and when people walk in, be surrounded by the smells of Christmas!!
You cannot go wrong with this recipe of Christmas simmering potpourri. It is so easy! You put all the ingredients together, let it simmer, and leave it! The perfect, simple recipe to help bring all the Christmas aromas to you and your guests.
Just click on a picture and it will take you to website of the recipe so you can enjoy it yourself.
Oh, and a little side note, I received this exact recipe as a gift with all the ingredients in a mason jar! Such a perfect give for your hostess!
